From a 32oz growler poured 9 days ago.
Pours an incredibly hazy pinkish/orange golden color, almost a grapefruit appearance, good sized white fluffy head that fades at a decent pace but leaves a thick cap on top.
Smell has a yeasty presence with huge amounts of flowery aromas, the added hibiscus to the base beer is immediately apparent, citrusy elements in the back of the nose.
Taste starts out with a yeasty/wheaty backing, mild citrus and light fruit, the flowery aspect of the hibiscus and rose hips add a nice level of complexity and flavor, active but soft carbonation create a smoothness in the mouth, finishes semi-dry and encourages you to keep on drinking.
Keep your eye out for the up and coming Orono Brewing, they're doing some interesting work with some variations on conventional styles.
