Pours a deep burgundy red color, somewhat hazy, with a one finger fizzy head that settles to nothing quickly. Love that color!
The nose is moderately strong with bready nondescript berry fruit notes. Maybe I could pick cherry out of it if I didn't know what was in it.
The taste is definitely cherry though - it comes through strongly with a pleasantly light amount of malt sweetness behind The finish is where the breadiness comes in, blending nicely with the fruit.
Feel is a little soft but refreshing and light-to-medium bodied. There is a bit of a kick to it though it is only 6%. Took me by surprise.
I like this one. The cherries are not my first choice of fruit for kettles and I would not get it regularly but it is a nice change up from the berry varieties and is smartly blended to achieve a good balance.
