Chocolate Raspberry Imperial Stout - January 2021
Pours a tan frothy foamy 1 finger head with great retention, nice sticky lacing, jet black color
Nose brings lots of raspberry and bramble, fresh juicy raspberry as well as raspberry syrup, some dark chocolate, cocoa, creamy milk chocolate as well, hint of nougat and sweet malt
Taste brings more chocolate up front, choc ganache, creamy chocolate milk, cocoa, into some raspberry, fresh juicy raspberry and raspberry syrup as well, a bit of spice and nougat as well, light bitterness, a bit of roast, mild sweet sticky finish, lingering raspberry and cocoa
Mouth is fuller bod, med to lighter frothy carb, fair creamy lactose, no real alcohol
Overall mixed, there is plenty of nice raspberry, and chocolate, but the lack of stout puts me on the fence
