12oz can. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, roasted malt and toffee. Sweet chocolate taste with caramel and a sharp bitterness.

Nice smell of chocolate, upfront flavor is nice, hints of coco and bitterness. Flavor changes to metallic and has a watery mouth feel. Almost good but not quite.

Go to beer for me. Over the years they have really pinned down the recipe for this to make it an incredible beer. Pours black, good head that lingers for a bit. Smell is coffee and chocolate. Taste is the same with a wonderful creamy finish. Best milk stout in my opinion.

Thanks to RedhawkPoke for this from NBS BIF #6. 12oz can poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a solid black color, with an inc-and-a-half of brown head that good retention, but left no lacing.
A very strong roast note greets the nose at the crack of the can. On closer sniff, a light sweetness shows through as well. No real grain scent in the malt profile though. Pretty similar taste profile, with an added sharp tang at the back of the palate.
The body was a bit light, but was helped by the presence of the carbonation that produced that tall head. Drinkability was good, this is a very pleasant drinker. Overall, a solidly enjoyable brew, worth your time if you see it.

Beer pours a very dark amber color with a tan head. It has strong coffee notes with a hint of chocolate. Even though it poured with a tall thick head it's not overly carbonated. It's smooth and easy to swallow with no aftertaste. A really good stout.
