Perfectum is a dry stout with a pleasant note of chocolate in its aroma, a thick, creamy head, and a roasted, malty flavour. A sweeter beer than most, Perfectum has minimal hop and floral notes. It has mild carbonation and a medium finish that can be avoured, but doesn’t overstay its welcome.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From Erie St. Gastropub's bottle shop in nearby downtown Windsor. Canned March 17/25. My 5th beer from the Ottawa, Ontario brewery, and 1st for 2026. Strongly suggested by Sundae the cat...

From the Nita Brewing Company of Ottawa, ON via the December 2015 Brew Box, Bucky sampled a 473 ml can of their Perfectum Stout. 5.0% alcohol by volume with no production or ‘best before’ date.
Perfectum poured an opaque, very dark mahogany brown with some ruby highlights in the bottom of the glass when backlit. Pouring produced about 1” of bubbly tan head that left some sporadic spotting and lacing down the glass as the beer level dropped. Its aroma was pretty tame, with hints of caramel and dark-roast coffee. The flavour was mildly sweet up front, with caramel giving way to baker’s chocolate, lots of roast, and a distinct dark-roast coffee bitterness which lingered as an aftertaste. A slightly more active carbonation that is typical for a stout, the beer is light/medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel. A decent first experience with Nita, but there is really nothing special enough in Perfectum to make me want to buy more of this beer.

Purchased a can and bottle directly from the brewery. Neither contained a brewed on or best before date. The bottle retained slightly more carbonation than the can however both yielded very similar results.
Pours jet black with thin tan head, minimal lacing. No real aroma just a touch of roastiness. The flavour appears very diluted (thin) although heavy on the malts and roasts. Quite dry, minimal carbonation with a very bitter finish.
