Hop bill = Simcoe & Mosaic
Batch 2 Pale Ale was the second beer we ever brewed. Fun fact, it was also the second beer we messed up. Intended to be a Rye IPA, the starting gravity for Batch 2 came in rather low, resulting in a moderate bodied Pale Ale with a huge pine and fruit aroma alongside the slick mouthfeel and earthy undertones courtesy of malted and flaked rye. Upon being re-introduced to our patrons we made two fairly important changes. First off, we intentionally brewed a Pale Ale. Second, we swapped out the Chinook hops for Mosaic, which pairs quite well with the backbone of Simcoe hops that remain from the original brew sheet. Aroma is a blend of pine, passion fruit, melon, and citrus that stains the beer in the way we originally intended and most likely fell short of. If only all of life's failures were this easy to repair...

Might be the first Rye PA I've come across. The rye spiciness adds a nice dimension to the earthy and dankness. Pine and citrus show as it warms. Good body and lively on the tongue due to higher carbonation. Really nice beer for my palate and preferences.
