On tap at Fieldwork San Mateo
A: Pours appropriately milk chocolate brown with a frothy tan head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little thin lacing.
S: Toasty, light roast, milk chocolate, spice, a hint of vanilla, a touch earthy, and brown sugar sweetness.
T: Toasty, smooth roast, milk chocolate, vanilla, spice, cinnamon and nutmeg, a bit earthy, and some brown sugar sweetness.
M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, mild moderate carbonation, creamy smooth.
O: I love fun takes on brown ales. Pairs nice with a shady seat and a cool breeze.

I tried the Chocolate Milk Brown in nitro form at the Old Town Pizza in Roseville, CA. It pour a mahogany redish brown with ecru head and spotty lace. The scent was milk chocolate. The taste was sweet...almost too sweet. Definite chocolate presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and nitro base smoothness. Overall it was probably too sweet for a session ale....but definitely worth a try.

Nitro draught at Tankhouse into a shaker pint. Pours a medium dark brown with a half finger of cream head that left windshield lacing. Nose is very sweet and chocolaty. Taste lives up to the name, surprised by the bit of sweetness in a brown, almost more reminiscent of a milk stout. Mouthfeel was very creamy and smooth, finish was clean with a hint of sweetness. Really liked this beer!
