Our take on infusing the character of New Orleans Iced Coffee with a beastly Imperial Milk Stout. Taking all of the ingredients you would find in a cup of iced coffee in New Orleans, we added a complex and nutty single origin coffee from favorite local roaster Catahoula Coffee Co., French Chicory, organic cane sugar, and a hefty amount of milk sugar to give Eliza a thick and creamy texture in line with the drink that inspired it.

Pours black with finger-sized creamy tan head that had little retention and very little spotty lacing.
Aroma is thick & rich - N.O. chicory coffee, sweet cream, chocolate, roasted malts.
Taste follows, med/high sweet - New Orleans iced coffee with all the sugar and cream added.
Feel is smooth, thick & viscous with very little carbonation and decent bitterness.
Overall, a great sweet, decadent coffee stout. Perfect base for the barrel.

Cafe du monde style stout. Reminds me of dunking beignets in a cup of chicory blend coffee in the Big Easy. You can smell the sweet smell of cafe the minute you pop open the can. It's a glorious blend of coffee, cream and cane sugar. The taste is equally epic coupled with a thick mouth coating. Unfortunately this one doesn't come with beignets. It's good enough to drink on its own.

A: Dark brown/black with tight light brown head. Really pretty.
S: Tons of dark roast, coffee, molasses, chocolate.
T: The lactose is very apparent...more sweet than expected, kind of like dark chocolate that's only about 40% cocoa. The coffee and roast are hidden by the sugar but still come out a bit in the middle and end of the flavor. Very little roasted malt in the taste.
M: Feels like you're drinking thick velvet if that makes any sense...very full and viscous.
O: What a great beer if you don't mind that's it's very sweet. Dark in all aspects. Heavy while being drinkable, it overpowers your tastebuds. I'm looking forward to the rest of the 32 oz. growler...should be a long night.

This place is just hitting home runs. This is one of the better stouts tried in 2015.
Black with a dark khaki head that's fairly long lasting.
Nose is all sweet chocolate, coffee and vanilla tones - rich, sweet, bold and inviting.
Mouth feel is medium full with perfect carbonation.
Flavor profile follows nose and is rich with sweet roasted grain, chocolate, coffee and vanilla tones that are all layered, bold, assertive and delicious.
Finish is bitter coffee bold and long lasting.
This stout can hold its own with the best of them.
