Poured from a 32oz Crowler into a Fieldworks Tulip glass . It poured a nice dark golden orange color with a nice white head on top. I think between the hops and the rye it gives this beer a slightly spicy nose with some bready aroma. The taste has a lot going on with some tropical fruit from the hops and also that spicy bite from the rye. Nice to see the combination working so well together. The mouthfeel is good with great carbonation. In all this is a better than average beer compared to some of the other rye ipa's I've had. I'm not usually a fan of rye ipa's but I could convert if I had this one to drink all the time

On tap at Ale Arsenal, San Carlos, CA
Drinks really light for the ABV. Very clean beer. Executes the Simcoe & Chinook harmony really well. The rye adds a mild spice and mild peppery bite in the finish which works. This is just one of those beers that does everything right for all ingredients used. I'm becoming very interested in more from this brewery.

Draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe into a nonic pint glass. Pours a gorgeous golden yellow with a half finger of medium density white head that never fully dispated. Nose was pleasurable and tropical, with very subtle hints of citrus. Taste was good, citrus and spicy, with a small bit of tropical notes when it first hits the palate. Mouthfeel was great, carbonation a bit high, finishes clean and with slight citrus astringency but limited bitterness. Solid rye IPA, that I'll definitely drink again.

This pours a pleasing tan caramel. Muted aroma of earthy, spicy, citrusy hops turns into a pleasing peppery spicy tasting brew. Nice malt backing. Crisp with a bready kick.

The brewery is a kitty corner stones throw behind the now unused Pyramid brewing facility, only tried this one glass out of curiosity, was rather ordinary with a long hoppy aftertaste, a 12 oz snifter with maybe a 9/10 oz pour for $6 is a bit much for me.
