Not much is better with a warm sunny day, or a cold gloomy day with your heater on blast, than a slice of salted watermelon and a crisp beer. We figured why not have both, and so we added loads and loads of watermelon into our modern take on the historic Gose beer-style. Upon first smell the watermelon jumps out of the glass, then your first sip is softly sliced through with a moderately puckering tartness, followed quickly by even more watermelon, and then finishes with a balanced salinity provided by its minerally-complex French grey sea salt. If you like watermelon, and you like beer, then this beer just might be for you, and you'll find yourself wanting to keep taking sip after sip to ride the waves of this highly smashable session strength beer.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours crystal clear straw yellow with a fizzy off white head that somewhat quickly settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Opens with a little mild funk, quickly followed by watermelon, both ripe and pith, a touch of salt, pleasant lactic tartness, crackery doughy malt, and faint wheat twang.
T: Bright, watermelon, both ripe and a little pith, nice lactic tartness, just a touch of salt, doughy cracker malt, and faint hints of earthy funk and twangy wheat.
M: Light body, prickly carbonation.
O: If ever a beer style and ingredient combo was just meant to be, this would be it. Hits the spot after doing yardwork on (hopefully) one of the last hot weekends of the year.

Take your favorite well made Gose, that real drinkable one that may have just a hint of salt that's there to really highlight the flavor......and then add a heaping load of watermelon! That's this beer!
Pinkish with a very short lived white head. The nose is just completely assertive watermelon; the mouth feel is well balanced, fresh, light yeasty with a light tart tone, some Gose light earthy character and a real all around watermelon flavor profile. Fun stuff this one.
