Ah looks like this will be the first review for this beer on BA. Damn its been out awhile too. Usual dark golden color with ample clarity and a 1/3" white head. Aroma hits the typical big Citra notes, tangerine, passion fruit, papaya. Has a Nelson/Mosaic like dankness to it that is heavier than just Citra.
Taste is very crisp and dry bitterness that alternates back to the tangerine and papaya sweetness. Malt base is slightly heavier than some of the simple pale toasted 2 row, but still lighter than late 90s ibu war crystal malt territory. The bitterness seems very much in the Simcoe hop vein.
This was the 3rd beer in a 6 beer flight. Was after Ascender, which has a lighter body, but this one seemed to have a greater degree of bitterness than that one. Carbonation was blasting on it too (in a non problematic way). Totally serviceable ipa once again from Fieldwork.
