sometimes fruit can really take over the more subtle details of a gose type beer, and that is the case a little bit in this clearish bright pink to red radiant sparkling brew. fortunately, the cherry is amazing, the flavor is very complimentary with the base beer, and while its heavy handed on the fruit, i really do think it works well. quite sour as they go too, the nose is past tangy to acidic, with the cherries obviously contributing to that aspect. i get the salt there on the first sip, but its pretty well assimilated into the beer. no coriander for me at all, the cherry totally takes that over, and i hardly get any wheat malt, which is supposed to be a defining characteristic of these beers, but its lost to the fruit as well, almost too clean without the grain there in the background. very ripe fruit flavor, but it doesnt taste all that much like gose to me. very sour as they go, but cleaner acidity, nice carbonation, and a light body make it still very drinkable. a cool beer with a seasonal salad or something light and fresh. good overall, better than many other fruited takes on the style out there, but it could be dialed back a bit. tasty but one was enough for me. not quite worthy of the hype on this one...

Pours a pretty cherry color, almost no head on it. Good clarity. The aroma smacked of a heavy amount of acetic acid, so much that it wouldn't even be acceptable in a flanders. So much vinegar here. And some d word.
The bad aroma doesn't come through as much in the taste, but it is still there and a flaw. It compromises the nose the heaviest, but taste and mouthfeel to a lesser degree. Salinity isn't really perceptible due to the high degree of acetic acid.
I think this beer could work, it just had a major flaw here. Take that away, and the beer could very likely be a good one. Regardless, it looked pretty.
