Poured on tap into a tulip glass at church key in sf. On nitro so this was velvety smooth. The coconut is very subtle but the salt plays a prominent role that really plays off the tongue. Very complex but smooth and drinkable

1st Fieldwork brew. Heard lots of good things. This certainly didn't disappoint! Looks almost like a really dark barleywine. Smell is quite nice, cocoa, sugar, hint of caramel. Taste is terrific, i taste cocoa, caramel, malt, Coconut, and salt on the finish. Very cool. Feel is perfect for the ABV, goes down really easy. Great job Fieldwork.

as disappointed as i was with the farmhouse wheat, this more than makes up for it. i see what all the hubbub is about with these guys now, this beer is amazing. so many beers say "salted" in the titles and it never amounts to much in the taste. i was super stoked and impressed how salty this actually is in the finish, savory, an excellent counterpoint to the toasty nutty earthy sweet coconut. the dark grains on this are awesome too, good amount of roast with only moderate bitter notes. coffee comes to mind for sure, almost tastes and smells like there might be coffee actually in this, but i dont think there is. the coconut is really prominent but not in that syrupy artificial way, its right on, natural and real, and it has a slight summery suntan lotion vibe with a little sweetness, but is well balanced by the darker notes in the malt, and of course the salt, which is bright and clean, mineral heavy, and drying on the back end. like a chocolate covered pretzel or something, the balance on the tongue is perfect. not too thick or heavy either, the beer still feels lively due to a medium body and active carbonation, i think its on point right there. i love all the coconut flavor and how its interaction with the grain bill is more refined than in others, not as forced, more of a natural union. one of the best coconut beers i have ever had, thanks in large part to the robust use of salt. this thing is next level!
