Another beer from a flight at Fieldwork, Berkeley. Pours a hearty glowing yellow color like there is a splash of antifreeze in it (like Magic Ghost if more yellow than green), smallish 1/4" white head on the top. El Dorado hops all over this provide more of a familiar citrus presence not unlike some traditional C hops pushing grapefruit and orange rind into the nose.
Taste is a good punch, dare I talk of the pilsner malt here which is well placed. There is a firm bitterness presence, but its not like its straight outta the ibu wars from a generation ago. Great light mouth feel and placement of the super airy pilsen malt. Hats off in that regard. Such levity. The mouth feel alone on this beer makes it worth checking out at least once before you die.

On draft in a pint glass. Clear golden color with half finger head. Light to medium bodied with slight creamy texture. Smells of sour citrus and pineapple. Sweet pineapple, bitter lemon rind, hint of grapefruit, and long lasting bitter hop flavors.

From a crowler canned 3/18/17. Pours a golden/copper color. Minimal head, maybe slightly under carbonated. Nose is brilliant! Fresh mangos, passion fruit, citrus and grasses. Taste follows the nose. Very tropical with the right amount of citrus coming through. The taste though is not as crisp and vibrant as the nose but still solid. Just a bit mellow. Medium to light body with a slick and juicy feel that tappers to a eventual semi dry finish.

Initial rating of 4.14 based on draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe in a shaker pint.
Follow up, day old crowler into a tulip glass.
L: Pours light golden with 1+ finger of medium density head that had moderate retention and left minimal sporadic lacing.
S: Nose is all tropical, very dynamic initially and fades a bit as the head settled, perhaps some very subtle grapefruit and orange undertones. It's very bright, mango heavy and very clean overall, I'd almost characterize it as "fresh" if that's possible to perceive by simple scent.
T: More balance between mango and citrus, limited malt bill perceived. Perhaps just the faintest bit of breadiness/biscuity attribute but very very subtle. Finishes with some bitterness, no astringency and clears the palate quickly. It's a really bright and crisp beer, not what I was expecting from a 8% DIPA.
F: Very light-bodied for the style, carbonation on the lower side. Feels more like a lawnmower/lake/river beer than a 8% DIPA.
O: Very interesting beer, not something I'd specifically seek out. Scary easy drinking, many attributes of bright, crisp, and clean are almost pilsner-esque. Be careful with this one.
Left original rating unchanged.

L; Very clear yellowish color.
S: Lots of citrus and maybe some pine and then hops follow.
T: Orange and citrus and smooth hop flavor.
F: Thinner and lighter than a usual DIPA, but very refreshing.
O: Different than most DIPA's I have had before. Super easy to drink and almost light feeling, could probably drink this stuff all day. Very solid combination of flavors, would definitely recommend.
