If 30th street in San Diego were a church, we'd be devout followers, inspired by the iconic hoppy beers of north county and the innovative second wave of IPAs from San Diego in the 2010s. Middle Out Westcoast IPA, a reimagined version of our favorite IPAs from that era, is a hyper-dry India Pale Ale with minimal malt character and a sharp focus on hop aromas. It bursts with flavors of ruby red grapefruit, peach rings, citrus blossom, passion fruit puree, lychee, pine, mango juice, and a hint of sauvignon blanc, showcasing the harmonious interaction of Simcoe, Amarillo, and HBC586 hops.

16oz can. Date stamp on bottom reads '10/01/24', about eight weeks in the can.
Mostly clear, straw colored body. Two fingers of white fizzy head retreats quickly to make islands and a bubbly ring. Leaves behind short intertwined lacing strings.
Aroma is dense, with notes of grapefruit, peach, orange, and pine.
Taste follows closely the nose, and adds on the dank and herbal density. Fruit flavors of grapefruit, orange, muskmelon, peach, and mango. Pine resin persists through it all. Not overly sweet, but has a definite bite from the bitterness level. Has a touch of a white wine vibe. Malt presence is low.
Medium mouthfeel. Dry finish. Some tongue numbing. Good carbonation.
Not nearly as bitter as the OG WCIPAs but fits in well with the current brewing style. Certainly is not an overripe fruit NEIPA.
