On-tap at Fieldwork Brewing Co., Sacramento, CA

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a collar of light tan bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and coffee beans are present in the nose.
T: The taste is very chocolatey and also has strong notes of coffee beans with hints of lactose and milk sugars.
M: It feels medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This milk stout makes for a very nice dessert beer and has a pleasant amount of smoothness in the mouthfeel.

Had on tap at local Fieldwork.
L: Pours cola brown, and settles a deep brown color, not quite pitch black but it's dark. Sudsy spots of lacing on the glass but practically no head.
S: Coffee is dominant, with raw/bitter cocoa in the background. Smells really nice. The lactose is evident on the nose as well, making it smell almost like a latte.
T: Coffee is the most prevalent flavor, with chocolate on the finish and aftertaste. Very sweet from the milk sugar, which rides the entire flavor train. As it warms, I do get flavors of the booze from the beer.
F: Thin feel and light body. Moderate levels of carbonation.
O: Enjoyable. I think the lactose should be scaled back and wish the feel was better, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. Those who love coffee flavor and aroma would love this. I am very glad to try. Cheers!

L - trace head atop a pitch black body.

S - chocolate, peanut butter, vanilla, caramel.

T - follows the nose. Tastes like a peanut butter dessert. Low bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. Low booziness.

F - medium body with minimal carb.

O - really tasty, and not even a hint of the 10% abv.

Aroma is similar to Bean Machine but taste has more toasty malt. Intense milk chocolate coats the tongue with a lingering sharp dak chocolate bitterness on the finish. Very easy drinking for a 9% beer. This one could get you in real trouble. Another outstanding release from Fieldwork!!
