American Pale Ale is a style we hold close to heart, it's the style that introduced us to craft beer and shaped, in our formidable youths, just what hops can provide beyond the bitterness. Hazy Glue Pale Ale is the antithesis to the classics that we love, breaking from tradition and celebrating our foundation of never filtering and never cutting costs. Sprinting in the opposite direction from what we were raised on, we brewed a Pale Ale with a bitterness low enough to make it insecure in a locker-room full of Lagers. Using more Mosaic and Melon hops than makes sense, Hazy Glue permeates nostrils in its entire vicinity with scents of honeydew melon, cantaloupe, lemon hard candies, and grapefruit. A bunch of flaked rye gives the beer a slickness that other grains just can't provide, blending with oils from the hops and sticking to your tongue in an unabashed display of modern hop gluttony. We are lovers of all things Pale Ale, but we would be lying if we said Hazy Glue was designed to be anything other than our personal favorite.

I had this on tap at Fiedwork. Fresh and direct from the source!
Pours a cloud hazy color. Light aroma, approachable bitterness. Easy drinking for a pale ale.

L: hazy bright yellow in color. Little head, minimal lacing. Gorgeous color.
S: tons of mango and passionfruit, with notes of lemon and fresh cut grass.
T: follows the nose. Grassy and herbally with bountiful citrus, melon and passionfruit. Very nice flavor profile. Mild yeast presence, slight pine on finish.
F: light in body but slightly fuller in weight. Low carbonation. Nice feel, smooth.
O: very enjoyable. Would drink again. I’m loving the pale ale style more and more, especially in the New England style. I am glad to try. Cheers!

The beer pours out a hazy golden yellow color, with a thin white head-------------- the aromas are of juicy fruit gum, starburst candy, blueberries and tropical fruit----------- the flavors are basil for days, citrus, blueberry, papaya, mango with lesser orange zest, the beer has a thin to medium mouthfeel with a light bitterness on the finish---------------- overall this beer was amazing, so juicy with tons of blueberry and tropical fruit

A: Pepper spice, coupled with hoppy aromas of melon with light citrus and stone fruit.
A: Yellow color, opaque, with absolutely no head at all.
T: Pepper spice, coupled with hoppy flavors of melon, light citrus and stone fruit, followed by moderate hop bitterness with a juicy finish.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation and a very slick mouth-feel.
O: Alright; the rye gives the beer's mouth-feel a great slickness, but also provides an odd spice that doesnt really go with the melon character of the beer.

Also had this at the source in Berkeley, CA. Pours a honey and light orange colored liquid, soft 1/3" white head on the top. Aroma is firmly driven by the pungent Mosaic hop. There's melon/huell melon hops too, but up against Mosaic, they provide nothing I can discern in the nose. Its just the aggressive papaya/passion fruit of the Mosaic.
Taste is nice, its a heavily hopped but not heavily bitter or heavily caramel malt heft. The flaked rye doesn't add the usual "spicy" descriptor, it adds a tad of heft and pairs nicely with the hops. You start to taste a little more melon in the mouth feel. The bitterness tastes around the 40 ibu range. Its a very enjoyable Mosaic pale ale.
