Hey I get to drink beer and do something for a cause? ok. Had this on tap while at the source in Berkeley, CA. Pours a light orange and amber color. Smallish 1/3" white head. Aroma was more of the middle school hops (Simcoe) that provide a heavy bitterness in the aroma (yes I meant it that way).

The Simcoe bitterness is unmistakable when tasted initially. It pairs nice with the malt to give a bitter and dry effect. The Eureka hops don't provide much else, maybe a little bit of tree. Otherwise its still grapefruit and bone dry. It does hide the alcohol nicely. They didn't reinvent the wheel or come up with one of their favorite recipes for this. Its older school Simcoe blast, and well done for what it is, a second tier imperial ipa in the west coast vein.
