Drank on draft from Fieldwork taproom
Look: Pours medium brown, moderate transparency. Appearance of iced black coffee with no head. Moderate lacing on the glass.
Smell: Upfront coffee, slight roasted malt. Coffee takes the cake for smell, and not in a bad way.
Taste: Very similar to black iced coffee, with a sweetener. Heavy coffee notes, medium malt. Very smooth and drinkable. Finish is sweet thanks to the lactose. Lactose adds a sweetness to the flavor, and also makes it smooth especially on the finish.
Feel: Feel is light-medium in body, which I feel its more on the light side. Somewhat thin, but the lactose gives it a deceptively thick feeling.
Overall: I found this very enjoyable. Low ABV, and the lactose with the coffee is something that goes hand in hand. However, if you're not a coffee drinker, this probably isn't the brew for you.
