Had this as the first pour during a Fieldwork flight in Berkeley. Pours a yellow with haze and a white top 1/4" deep. A big ol' nose full of tangerine and salt. Kind of amazing to get this nose this way, otherwise you'd prolly swear it came from some proprietary hops added at the end. But no. . .
Taste is relatively refreshing, seemingly made for warm weather day drinking near a body of water. The interaction of the salinity and sweetness is like sweet and sour orange chicken from your favorite Chinese joint. Its not dry like I prefer my gose. But I still like this, despite getting away from a traditional gose. Definitely has an outdoors vibe to it. The lemon drop hops provide even more of the citric acid and sourness here.
Its an interesting beer, glad I tried it, I wonder if they will ever can it . . . I could see paying $3-4 a can.
