Had this as part of a flight at Fieldwork. Drank after the coffee/milk ipa. What seemed like a conventional coffee beer turned out to be another unique one like the aforementioned. Anyways, its a porter, pours black but not hefty viscosity, thinner 1/3" tan head. The aroma was first and foremost coffee, but some of that other adjunct spice stuff comes acros as different in the sum of the parts. I dunno, takes away from the coffee, would prefer just a coffee and roasted malt blast instead of kombucha chai latte cardamom but you gotta take risks.
Taste still hits coffee the hardest, and that other stuff is of a lesser impact. Ginger and cardamom aren't my thing (cardamom especially) and they don't add anything to this beer in a positive sense. The mouthfeel is supposed to be milkshake like, but its just kinda dogfish head-esque, meaning there is a bunch of weird shit in here that feels like its just there for the sake of saying they took a mainstream beer and made it shittier with some off the wall bullshit.
As usual, I liked the coffee aspect of the beer, but not the tea. First review of the beer on BA.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
