16oz can, served in a snifter glass. Pours a hazy copper-orange body, one finger white head with fair retention and not much lacing. Smell is sweet sugary caramel, grain, a bit of booze, grapefruit, spice. Simplistic but sweet aroma. Flavour is similarly sweet, heavy caramel and sugar, fair bit of booze, light grapefruit, touch of herbal. This is definitely a triple IPA through and through, and while the malt sweetness is heavy, it seems like the hops add more sweetness on top of it. It's not my thing. I prefer some more balance, with big hops and big malt, but when it skews towards big combined sweetness, that's just tough for me. Bright sweetness, at the very least. Medium bodied, good carbonation, nice sweet and dryness on the backend, herbal and leafy.
