Sample pour into a large globe/tulip at Fieldwork’s Berkeley location. Candy in a glass: espresso chocolates with maple syrup highlights. Light to medium body, silky smooth, deep dark mahogany brown color with short, tan head.

Another in the series of Gilmore Girls Fieldwork beers, shit man I can dig it. You know what else I can dig? Coffee maple stouts. Pours black, 1/3" tan head. Aroma kicks down coffee first, then roasted malt, then just a little bit of maple. I like the proportion going on.

Taste, man, so close, just a tad too sweet. I mean, its not like that Great Notion garbage, but it also could use a more deft touch like CBS batch 1 & 2 kicked down. I like it, but man, this was close to being one of those beers you seek out, tell people about, hoarde etc. . .

Instead, its still very good. Easy to drink, carbonation was appropriate. I like the maple, but the sweetness was above my ideal spot. Could even more coffee do the trick? Or less maple? Its good, I wish I had one right now. But I wish it was bigger on the coffee and lesser on the maple.

Nice dark be with a tan head that leaves nice bands of lacing behind. Smells like roasted malt, coffee and sweet maple syrup. Sweet up front with roasted malt and coffee that is followed by a sweet maple syrup. Finishes bitter and sweet. Great beer.

Had on draft at local Fieldwork.
Look: Dark brown, near black. A finger's worth of head with moderate lacing.
Smell: Warm roasty malts with chocolate and maple. Minimal coffee presence.
Taste: Maple and chocolate forward, where the bitter chocolate flavor balances the sweet maple. Nice malty flavor with some coffee. Tasty.
Feel: Medium in body, light to medium in terms of weight. Soft feeling, with sticky palate property.
Overall: Very tasty and easy to drink. I would drink again. I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!
