As curmudgeonly as we are here at Fieldwork there are still a few things that we like; mostly Double IPAs, Mosaic hops, and low-hanging Simpsons references that make us sound like fans even though we stopped watching after season 8. So "Disco Stu Likes Disco Mosaic" is right up our alley, a giant Mosaic bomb of a Double IPA that drips with notes of fruit cocktail, Poncho Punch Otter Pops, and grapefruit concentrate all over its big pillowy body. Sweet hop flavors pair perfectly with the beer's Barney-sized body and big alcohol developed mouthfeel while it does the electric slide across your palate. Super juicy and sticky and Mosaic-y; this is the beer if you love Mosaic hops and/or really bad puns.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass

A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light ayer and laces very nicely.

S: Citrus, grassy notes, tropical and stone fruit, ripe melon, hints of blueberry, a little pine, faintly floral, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

T: Ripe citrus, tangerine, lemon, lime, and grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, guava, mango, cantaloupe, apricot, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, and faint blueberry, a touch of pine, light floral notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.

M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, mild carbonation, super soft on the palate, holds its % incredibly well.

O: I'm kinda in the fence with this one. It's got some great fruity notes (though some do take a little while to come out of hiding), and it's impossibly smooth for its size. That being said, there are times when it comes off as a little too smooth, like the Mosaic isn't singing with its full chest, and some of its hallmark attributes don't have their mics on. You could be forgiven for thinking there's a notable Citra component. That could just be the Cryo and Dynaboost effect smoothing things out. Or some of that typical Mosaic edge fell off while it was sitting in my fridge for a couple weeks longer than I wish it did. All in all, while it's not a traditional Mosaic showcase, it's still a damn good DIPA (bordering on TIPA).

On tap at Eureka! Straw orange pour, thin head, but excellent lacing. Not much aroma. Huge citra melon flavor but with a funky resinous, dank character. Thick and pulpy. This is pretty great.

The beer pours out a glowing full on hazy golden orange color, with a thin white head and beautiful lacing------------- the aromas are of mostly pineapple and yeasty notes with some other tropical fruit coming through---------- the flavors are of guava, pineapple, peach, nectarine and ne yeast, the beer has a medium mouthfeel with a medium bitter pine like finish------------- overall this beer is world class - this was so good from the aroma to the flavors this was jam packed with tropical goodness

A disco aficionado; is this an aficionado? Hittin switches from Philly to Colorado. Ooo-wee! Tiger orange & honeydew hue all up in the glass, resting majestically underneath one finger of foam that settles gradually leaving myriad lace patterns in its wake. The nose emits strong notes of Mosaic brewed properly, akin to Nelson, yet standing on its own two. Gooseberry, white grape, stanky armpit aroma, sugary lemon, candied mango, and dank weed smoke. Taste follows with a bit of cherry, nectarine, and plum, combined with a gentle wisp of seared peach skin on the finish. Good lawwwd. Can I get a witness? Amen, Hunter. The best part of this beer is the balance. The flavors mesh seamlessly to give an overall pleasant drinking experience. This is the type of beer that separates the lines of average and exceptional. It meshes the old world piney characteristics against the new wave tropical notes that is sure to please even the most demanding of hop heads. My only knock, albeit it minor, is the finish of the beer. There's a Flinstone vitamin characteristic mid-palate that dissolves into a syrupy finish on the back end. All that said, this is a stellar beer that I would gladly try again. LARRRGE...

Draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe. Hides ABV very well, but not overly appealing visually. Nose and taste are super dank, underlying floral notes in the aroma, some citrus on the taste. Plenty of astringency, which when combined with ABV and carbonation leads to some tongue burn. A big, dank, hazy mosaic DIPA.
