On tap at Fieldwork Sacramento
A: Pours dark brown, nearly black, with a frothy khaki head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Roasty, big coffee and dark chocolate, toasty crusty bread, earthy notes, and a little toffee sweetness.
T: Roasted malt, dark and milk chocolate, smooth coffee, a hint of smoke and char, earthy, toasty crusty bread, a touch of spice, and some lactose and caramel toffee sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, creamy.
O: About as much flavor as it's possible to pack into 5.8% with plenty of mouthfeel to follow. Excellent beer.
