On tap at local Fieldwork. Disclaimer, I am a huge fan of both lemon and lemon meringue pie, so I went into this with skeptical but high hopes. Let's dive in.
L: Hazy bright straw yellow in color. Little head but supple spotty lacing.
S: Lemon galore. Pretty much the singular thing I smell. It's natural, bright, tart and damn appealing.
T: Again, lemon galore. Tons of puckering, tart, enamel-stripping lemon flavor. It's fresh and natural tasting, and quite frankly, delicious. The vanilla is also evident on the finish, enabling the aftertaste to be this hybrid of lemon and vanilla that is rather pleasant. I don't get lemon meringue pie per say, but more reminds me of that lemonhead candy that we all have munched on.
F: Medium in body and weight. Slick, creamy texture but still retains a tight carbonation provided a nice lift to the feel. Really nice feel that seems to counteract the tartness.
O: This is pretty damn great. I'm a fan of lemon (as stated prior) and this didn't let me down. Perhaps the most lemony beverage that I've yet to come across. I am very grateful to have tried. Cheers!
