Boss Of The Plains has quickly found its footing as the big brother to one of our other favorite Westcoast IPAs, Saint Thomas O.G. Boss comes in quite a bit higher at 7.3% abv and with a slight edge on bitterness and overall balance. The addition of Idaho7 hops to this Mosaic-heavy hop bill adds a really nice layer of complexity brightening up the profile to highlight lesser pronounced notes of guava, mango, and mandarin orange. Lest we not forget, it is still a majority Mosaic-hopped beer so the nose is strong and kicks up big notes of honeydew melon, grapefruit, passionfruit, and sweet wine grapes. We're loving how much you're loving Westcoast IPA and loving making them even more.

16 oz can at share. Pale golden pour, small faomy head. Aroma and taste are a melange of herbal, woody, floral and soapy notes. An IPA on the flowery side.

Multiple tastings, review based on can from Feb/Mar 2020 batch, into a tulip.
L: Pours bright golden with 1+ finger of variable-density white head with good retention and left mixed spotted and streaked lacing.
S: Lots of earthy and floral aspects in prominence. Definitely plenty of dank elements, but could be more multi-dimensional.
T: Follows the nose well, but more dynamic. Dank West Coast profile for sure, with plenty of bitterness. Bitterness clears the palate fairly quickly, slight acidity lingers.
F: Low-medium bodied with medium-high carbonation, ever so slightly lively on the tongue, with a crisp finish.
O: One of my favorite West Coast recipes from Fieldwork. I'll definitely grab this again when possible.
