Once a year the best hop farmers in the world pick their emerald nuggets of perfection fresh from the vine, pack them into boxes and send them to those of us brewers that love few things on earth as much as these chlorophyl-laden flowers of resinous love. For Temple of Bloom we got the best Mosaic wet hops we could ever hope for and brewed up a big sticky Double IPA to show them off like OP shorts at a black tie event. Leafy green undertones and grassy flavors drape across a chewy base of Maris Otter malt and tickle the senses for a brief second until the huge dry-hopping projects a resin bomb of aroma with notes of passionfruit, honeydew melon, lemon candies, ruby red grapefruit and a hint of Humboldt's finest.
