Brewed in collaboration with Left Handed Giant Brewing Co., North Brewing Co. and Verdant Brewing Co.
Unlike most collaborations where two breweries email back and forth for a week designing a recipe then three more weeks trying to pick a name, Happily Slightly Dazed is a collaboration with three of our friends from the UK (Left Handed Giant, North, and Verdant) that was thrown together in the wee hours of the morning over a few cups of coffee and many more beers. We opened up our hop locker to these fine gentlemen and let them have at it with the result being this heavily hopped IPA using Idaho7, Vic Secret, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops. The nose on this little monster seems to be ever changing with each degree it rises; passionfruit turns to lemongrass which turns to tart orange wedges and so on. This collaboration couldn't have been more fun as David did all the work and we inspected the tasting room while Happily Slightly Dazed.

Draught beer into tulip glass in Berkeley taproom
Came online this week
L: definitely unfiltered, golden haze, small bubbles streaming to the top
S: tropical hops galore (wow!), orange peel, lemongrass
T: well balanced, very nice finish, bitter enough to savor
F: refreshing, very easy to drink
O: a solid NE IPA
