1st review of this beer on BA. In fact, there aren't even any ratings for it yet. Was the 6th beer of a 6 beer flight on 2/8/20.
Pours that unattractive gravy like appearance, with some bits of orange splashed into it so it isn't completely unattractive. 1/4" white head. Aroma was leaning on the Mosaic. Seemed like every Mosaic hop beer in this lineup wasn't huge like others. I also was coming off a sinus infection, so take it with a grain of salt somewhat. El Dorado rounded out the hopping, gave a slight apricot/stone fruit edge to it.
Taste was fine. More of the same, some tropical and stone fruit notes from the hops. Malt bill out of the way, did a good job hiding 8% alcohol, very minor green acidic burn feel to it. They did a good job with a countering bitterness here that didn't let the body get bogged down in flaked oat and/or wheat territory, came off like a standard barley fed malt bill and with commensurate bitterness and flavor to keep any 'smooth/wet' notes from being too prominent. Another good but not great offering from Fieldwork.
