Long in body and short in bitterness, Banter Lord is the perfect balance of northern hemisphere citrus and southern hemisphere sticky overripe topical fruits. Mosaic provides its trademark ruby red grapefruit, sweet melon, and musky wine grape notes along side exotic tropical fruit flavors from the Galaxy and Enigma hops, most notably pineapple, soursop, starfruit, and intense notes of overripe citrus punch followed up with a hint of freshly trimmed buds in the finish. With very little bitterness to speak of and a balanced but full mouthfeel this Double IPA may already be one of our favorites and should probably be making the starting line-up moving forward.

Cloudy golden yellow body. Squeezed oranges, a bit of zest, grapefruit, herbal bite, caramel with a mild floral bitterness. Lighter medium bodied, good carbonation, solid caramel sweetness. A slight astringent heat on the backend, otherwise a solid entry.

Draught pour at Sac tasting room. Mute nose and lots of hop burn overwhelmed for my palate and preferences an enjoyable taste profile. I'll try again later or a different batch.
