We are honored to participate in Black Is Beautiful, an initiative led by our friends Weathered Soul Brewing. Over 1,000 breweries are participating in this collaborative effort to raise awareness for the injustices people of color face daily and to raise funds for police brutality reform and for legal defense for those who have been wronged. 100% of the proceeds from our Black Is Beautiful release will be donated to the Equal Justice Initiative (@eji_org), an organization which works to end mass incarceration, excessive punishment, and racial inequality. Fieldwork Brewing will be doubling the amount with a dollar for dollar matching donation.
The beer? It's a 10% abv Imperial Stout and it's delicious. You will love the beer and you will love supporting the Equal Justice Initiative.

Can into a goblet glass.
A: jet black with low-density chocolate head with near zero retention and left no lacing.
S: Smells like a big stout, lots of roasted malt, dark chocolate, cherry cordial, and subtle licorice undertones.
T: Follows the nose fairly well, licorice has more prominence, the dark chocolate and cherry aspects don't (pleasantly) come with any cloying sweetness. Finishes with moderate bitterness, roasty aspects hang on the palate.
F: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, slick on the tongue and swallow. On the thinner side for a beer of this ABV, slight tongue tingle from the alcohol.
O: Its a good beer, but a better cause. Happy I tried it, but glad I only grabbed one can.
