Bringing all the soft juicy notes of the tropics with none of the sand, Tahitian Blue started off simply as the color code for our favorite shirt and now lives on as a sticky and balanced Double IPA drenched with notes of passionfruit, guava, Sauvignon Blanc grapes, grapefruit, and starfruit. A little bit of sweetness sticks to the lips after each sip but a mild bitterness and resinous hop profile cut through the candied malt and cloudy body to make it super drinkable for a Double IPA. It's been another standout year for Mosaic hops and Tahitian Blue is the perfect vessel to show them off.

Pours a mixture of dark gold and light amber color. Almost always love their can designs. Creamy 2/3" white head. The aroma seems like its all Mosaic, loads of dank weed, passion fruit, blueberry create a really nice nose that makes me once again rue that I like an expensive Fieldwork beer so much. It smells really good.

Taste is equally awesome and disappointing because it means I like another beer that is on the high end price wise for style. These are really good Mosaic hops they found/used here. Similarly, I noticed this beer did really good beyond the 100 day old mark as well. Damn right they made 8.2% really crushable and downright dangerous if you don't give that abv the respect it deserves as its easy to get 32oz deep in this before you realize what is going on. So much berry and tropical fruit goodness with a bitterness level that is appreciable and firmly where I want that goldilocks zone to be.

File under gdammit they made another really awesome beer I didn't want to like bc of cost (I think they're like $6 at the source).

Can into a imperial nonic pint glass.

L: Murky brown bronze with 1+ finger of high-density white head with great retention and left mixed lacing.

A: Great soft Mosaic nose, lots of berries and mango, pine and citrus in tow.

T: Follows the nose but with more prominence of the citrus aspects. Flavors are a bit edgy, would like more if they rounded into each other and meshed better. Finishes with moderate bitterness and some acidity, acidity lingers a bit.

F: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, full on the tongue, soft finish.

O: Solid Mosaic NEDIPA, not something I'd seek out but I'd gladly have again.
