Another "murkbomb" from Fieldwork. They make so many of these, and so many of them taste so very similar... But on the other hand, they're invariably pretty damn good. This is no exception. On tap at NW Growlers today...
The beer pours a fairly dark, golden hazy amber color with good head retention and considerable sticky lacing all around. The nose is loaded with tropical fruit, but seems to be dominated by apricot and mango. There's some noticeable citrus as well, but the aroma is really dominated by the sweet tropical fruit in this beer. The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, and I appreciate the fact I'm not getting aspirin flavor in the finish of this beer. There's a hint of bitterness, but otherwise the finish is pretty clean and very long. The Mouthfeel is pretty full in this well crafted hazy style IPA. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, and while there's a touch of heat from the 8% plus abv., this does not come across as a high abv, boozy dipa. It's pretty rich and viscous I think, which would likely keep me from drinking a lot of this, but alcohol is VERY well integrated into this beer's flavor profile.
Impressive effort from the folks at Fieldwork. In other words, a fairly typical Fieldwork IPA/DIPA.

Sweet, tropical hoppy, hint of orange citrus, and tropical dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a well-balanced, orange citrus and hoppy dank bitter swallow. The hoppy bitterness lingers on the back of the throat...and as it warms a bit, it starts to heat up that area with a some dank hop burn. The burn is not off-putting, though...I actually like it! This has great depth and mouthfeel! This is really good!

Can into an imperial nonic pint.
Dank forward, tropical fruit in tow. Moderate bitterness with plenty of astringency, which lingers and drys the palate. A bit thin on the feel for an 8% NEDIPA, some throat burn (will revisit in a week).
Lots of good dankness, just wish the astringency was kept in check better.
