It's hard to trace back when our love affair with Waimea hops started, but most likely it was the first batch of Invincible Worlds. In all fairness, you can pair anything with Mosaic and it's gonna be good. Used band-aid and Mosaic Porter? Sign me up. But with Waimea we were so impressed with what it brought to the party; on top of the expected notes of candied melons, grapefruit juice, passionfruit, and Riesling grapes; we got a phenomenal additional layer of apricots, yuzu, tangerine juice, and pine that makes Invincible Worlds so much more than just a juice bomb and elevates it to the realm of super complex and ultimately interesting.

On tap at Fieldwork Monterey

A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces quite nicely.

S: Zesty citrus, resinous pine, grassy, underlying tropical and stone fruit, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

T: Zesty citrus, pomelo, lime, lemon, and tangelo, pine, underlying tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, mango, apricot, peach, and a hint of blueberry, grassy notes, biscuit malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.

M: Medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, soft on the palate, with a touch of hop burn as it warms.

O: Bright, zesty, refreshing. Definitely helping ease the streak of 100°F+ days we've been through.

Golden haze. Grapefruit, citrus, oranges. Mild floral and herbal bite. Light caramel body, juicy tropical fruit. Mild herbal bitterness, medium bodied, soft carbonation. Clean and soft, an approachable but juicy enough IPA.

Draught pour at Sac taproom in tulip glass.

Brown orange murk juice, decent head retention.

Pleasant potent tropical nose, taste follows, lots of astringency, mild hop burn in the throat on finish.

Full soft mouthfeel, some tongue tingling from astringency.

Possibly too fresh for fair assessment for my preferences, I'll try again later after it has a week or 2 on it.
