Pours a creamy looking pineapple color. Less than a 1 finger white head. What's there isn't too long lasting, and dissipates to a nice ring around the edge of the glass.
The nose is full of pineapple. I'm not getting much more citrus aromas than that.
Taste - As with the nose - tons of pineapple.
The body is crisp and creamy feeling. Full bodied.
A tasty IPA.

Sweet and pungent orange citrus, and hoppy dank nose on this one! Taste follows with a uber-hoppy and orange citrus bitter finish. Yowza...this is very, very Citra hoppy! The hoppy bitterness lingers and actually takes a seat on the back of the throat. The carbonation on this is a little too low, but it is soft on the palate and has a juiciness to it...feels great for a single. Be prepared...there is definitely a kick of hop burn on this badboy...zaps the palate. Good!

Well, I DID take a photo, but the file size is too big. Oh well! Fieldwork is a local brewery I have been a fan of for some time now, with my favs ranging from Viking's Lament and Father of the Wolf and Cocoanut to Pulp. I was floored by the thick pour. First impressions were really like a stout in its slow ooze akin to a melted orange creamsicle. Not any lacing, but a swamp of orange. Getting cloyed orange pith and tangerine notes. Yum! The nose is really subdued, though (maybe it's my nose). And I really wish this had more going on in terms of flavor profile and nose, because it IS in the style of a NE IPA. Why don't they don't classify it as such?
