Another pickup from the last Fieldwork trip, this was a single can, not terrible or anything, but glad I didn't rock out to an entire 4 pack.

Pours a clear light amber color into a St. Louis Final Four 2005 imperial pint glass. Slightly maltier appearance than most Fieldwork ipas. 4/5" white head. The aroma didn't pop hard, I think it had a lot of Simcoe? No? Well the Mosaic and Citra didn't do their usual better together thing. Blanc? Yeah, not getting the white grape either. Mostly smelled like bittering hops.

Taste went a little better, although still far from the upper echelon of hoppy Fieldwork beers. Light layers of hay, grapefruit, lemon, light berries. The heft of the malt bill came across lighter than the appearance. I guess the lack of a usual pungency for Mosaic hops is kind of a letdown on this one. Would try it again to try and get a better feel for this one.

Thank you, Brian.

A clear orange with a dense white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is prominent grapefruit, melon, honeydew, candied orange peel.
The palate opens bitter and pungent with grapefruit and candied orange peel, mildly spicy and quite bitter. Along with this is honeydew, melon, a touch of gooseberry. Drying, bitter finish, light in body, moderately carbonated, this is quite excellent.
