There was a time when all of the Nelson we came across just wasn't up to snuff to brew with so we had to spend a few years passing on making beers with one of our favorite hops in the world. Thankfully those days are in the past and the Nelson we have been coming across has been pure fuego. In Nose Art we celebrate our favorite two hops in the world; Mosaic which every year produces unique and pungent tropical notes ranging from gooseberry, blueberries, honeydew, ruby red grapefruit, sweet peaches, mango, and lime zest, which pairs electricity with the diesel-powered aromas of white grapefruit slices, Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes, passionfruit, papaya, and lychee. Together, when draped across a mildly sweet and cloud-like bodied double IPA, there is no better name than Nose Art.

Sweet, white wine grape, tropical hoppy, and Mosaic dank nose on this one! Taste follows with an overripe pineapple hoppy, and muddled hoppy citrus bitter swallow...was hoping for more clarity between the mosaic and nelson hops on the finish. Yes, I agree with the review from jakecattleco, the aromatics are definitely more pronounced and enjoyable than the taste on this one. It is very soft and feels great on the palate, though. Good!

Can into an imperial tulip pint glass.
L: Murky brown orange with 1 finger of white medium-density head with moderate retention and left sheeting lacing.
S: Very nice, plenty of dank, berries, and diesel, though the later fades as it warms.
T: Not quite as enjoyable as the nose, and much heavier prominence of the berries and some added citrus. Finishes with mild bitterness and moderate astringency, astringency lingers with a hint of hop burn on the throat.
F: Low-medium bodied with moderate carbonation, silky on the tongue and swallow.
O: Will see how the cans evolve with age, but true to its name the aroma steals the show. Just wishing the taste could've matched it.
