Picked up this beer a few months back. Single can. Rare miss for Fieldwork in the hoppy beer department. Anyways, here is your first review of the beer on BA, worth zero karma points. Fledgling.
Pours a orange juice like color and half and half appearance with a hazy ipa. 2/3" off white head being the other half. How La Otra Half Vive by Jacob Riis. Its also an NYC brewery that perfects nothing. Anyways, its a good appearance for a hazy. The aroma seemed to be entirely El Dorado hops, Mosaic didn't pan out. Bitter pineapple and straw.
The taste went with that cheerios malt commercial tug job vibe, it had a bitterness to it that binded with the El Dorado hops. Mosaic's lush tropical weed party still missing. Tasted industrial strength like the can imagery on the label. Like that was the problem with the mouthfeel, tasted like 10.3% before 6.3% I would have guessed. Just a lot of bitterness and booziness for a single ipa, much less a hazy one.
I don't know how many older reggae songs have the lyric "I love to smoke marijuana" but there's a few of them at least.
