Dearly beloved, we gather here today to celebrate a union steeped in love, the joining of our brewing team, and a light and crispy German Lager. A love so intense that we had to test our safety showers to make sure they didn't plumb them with Solace & Virtue. While 90% of our Lagers are brewed within direct proximity of specific classic styles; Solace & Virtue takes a very mild detour. While "German Lager" is a simple and non-specific term, it was what we felt best fit this semi-hybridized crusher. Most easily described as the merging of a German Helles and a German Pilsner, Solace & Virtue is super session-able, light, crisp, and delicious; blending the low ABV and mellow maltiness of a Helles with the light floral hopping and refreshing dryness of a German Pilsner. Not just light and refreshing, this beer is also deeply complex and well representing of its Germanic roots with notes of dandelion honey, alfalfa, honey maid graham crackers, French lavender blossoms, and shortbread crust.

Here's another one of those high end lagers from Fieldwork. Basically a helles & pilsner mash up = Solace & Virtue. Seems like it will be cool.
Pours golden, good clarity, 2/3" white head, has the most familiar appearances of "beer" to your average consumer. The aroma leaned pretty much on grain predominantly did offer more than just pilsner malt, this hit a breadier existence owing slightly to the helles aspect of it.
The taste hits the lemongrass hopping and golden waves of grain thing, it really does accomplish what the commercial tug job was getting at, kind of a hodgepodge mashup lager with equal properties of a pilsner and helles. It does have that dew point garden blossom feel throughout. These are pretty easy to drink crowd pleasers, but with a degree of execution and complexity to make the weakest soy boy beer nerd clutch his problematic pearls.
Its also got that cool any situation its appropriate kind of beer vibe going for it. Careful though, you could see a 4 pack of this vanish pretty quickly between 0-3 other friends around.

Definitely a hybrid, super floral, malt perceivable but definitely not the star of the show. Slightly more than mild bitterness. I really like this on a sunny but not overly warm day.
