Alright, let's dial up the first review of this beer up in here shall we? I dunno what the weeks/years long updates will entail, if ever, but who knows, maybe someday they will reward being the first to write a review for a beer. You can't let your historical failures define you. Well you can, based on the historical record, but maybe you shouldn't?
Anyhoo, sixth beer of the day at the 23rd annual dipa fest held last Saturday. They did a good job presenting the beers, this was no exception, good golden color and 1/2" white head scaled up. For an absolute unit medley of impressive hops, this also wasn't hitting in the nose as hard as it does on paper. Mosaic, HBC 586 and Strata. Light impressions of berries and stone fruit.
Taste brought a light malt sweetness alongside a more pronounced hoppy existence. Substantially bitter in the west coast vein, also hiding alcohol quite nicely. Gets a little more varied than just berries, hits some melon and nectarine aspects. Good dry and bitter finish. Not for the feint of heart, but punches up.
