Often overlooked is the important history Australia has played in modern day beer; from creating carbonation by splitting the nucleus of a beer atom, to drinking it out of a shoe, Australia has redefined what beer is. Not ones to rest on their laurels, Australia has continued to progress beer into the future by growing some of the most revolutionary hops that have graced the inside of a shoe. For Greenview Outpost we wanted to highlight our favorite hop from the Land of the Long Weekend, Enigma, by piling in more and more of this pungent and resinous behemoth until Greenview Outpost was saturated with notes of juicy wine grapes, smashed raspberries, orange marmalade, sweet grapefruit, pineapple rings, summer melon, lychee gummies, and papaya sorbet. While light in body, low in bitterness, and super crushable; you can obviously scull as many pints as you can handle but we'd suggest pacing yourself and taking in the best smelling thing to come from Australia since we bought one of Chris Hemsworth's used gym towels off eBay.
