The world is a cold dark place, so why shouldn't your beer be? In a world where the stalwart Oatmeal Stout is becoming more and more increasingly rare, we opted to bring it back with the furor of Erebus in a bigger and more warming format to work as a silken blanket for those chilly nights. It wasn't long ago you could walk into any pub and get a pint of Oatmeal Stout to pair with your Sysco fish and chips, and while we miss those days, there's no denying this classic style was in need of a bit of an update. Combining some of our favorite malts from England and North America alongside a pinch of experimental hops, we erected what we think is the Burj Khalifa of Oatmeal Stout; thick, creamy, and packed full of notes of steel cut oats, burnt toffee, dark chocolate, fresh roasted coffee chaff, sweet bready malts, toasted wood, 3 Musketeers nougat, cedar chips and bourbon fudge.

Dark pour, one finger head and good lacing. Aroma of chalky cocoa, roast. Lots of roast and grainy oatmeal flavor. Dry. Maybe the most oaty oatstout I’ve ever had. Really nice.

A: Pours dark brown basically black with a frothy khaki head that settles to a thin layer and laces nicely.
S: Roasty toasty, fresh coffee, chocolate, a touch of char, little dark fruit, vanilla, and toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty, big dark and milk chocolate, fresh ground coffee, a touch of vanilla, a hint of dark fruit, a bit toasty, and some toffee sweetness.
M: Full body, moderate carbonation, chewy.
O: Rich, smooth, pretty much the perfect beer for sipping by the fire pit on a cool day.
