With the rise of Cascade and Centennial hops in the early 70's the Pacific Northwest was well on its way to becoming the undisputed best lands to grow hops, fast forward a half a century and that crown may very well be on its way south of the equator. Celebrating all of the glory in these greatest of locales for lupulin luxury, we brewed up a DDH New Zealand Pale Ale that is jam packed with our three all time faves; Nelson, Nectaron, and Mosaic Cryo. What we ended up with was a super dry Pale Ale with no sweetness at all, a decent body to support its massive hopping, and two hemispheres worth of passion fruit, guava, papaya, nectarine, sauv blanc, blueberry, grapefruit, gooseberry, and pineapple whip aromas.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces quit nicely.
S: Grassy slightly earthy herbal notes quickly followed by a wave of citrus zest and classic Nelson fruitiness, pine, a little underlying tropical and stone fruit, a bit floral, biscuity bready malt, and a nice dry finish.
T: Zesty citrus, lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a touch of tangerine, grassy slightly herbal notes, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, gooseberry, pineapple, lychee, apricot, white grape, peach, guava, and a hint of blueberry, a nice hit of pine, light floral notes, biscuity malt, and a nice dry finish.
M: Just a bit on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Really well done West Coast style Pale ale with some Southern Hem flair.
