Bagels, Light Lagers, and Flan; three things that are usually miserable when mass-produced but, when made down the street, can be works of scrumptious art. Hook & Loop is no different, a simple beer with simple intentions, brewed with our Idaho-grown Pilsner malt, Hetch Hetchy water, Lager yeast, and a pinch of domestic hops to create something crisp, clean, and delicious. Not boring but not complex, Hook & Loop is as easy drinking as it gets with delicate notes of oyster crackers, tangerine blossom, feather-light biscuits, lemon zest, and field grass. Don't get it wrong, an 18-pack of bad beer on a fishing boat is a thing of beauty, and if you're high enough, those little pudding packs of flan can hit the spot, but when we're in the mood for sessioning something that drinks like a silver bullet but tastes like some silver dollar pancakes, we'll stick with local.

Damn here comes another beer from like 18-24 months ago, but I just added it to this Next Glass owned database here in May of 2025! Respect Next Glass!

Pours a pretty golden color with ample clarity and virgin white head right at that 3/5" mark. As far as light lagers go, you'd be hard pressed to find one better looking. Aroma hits with noticeably higher amounts of barley, lager yeast and hops than a BMC light lager would. But yet, far from their (Fieldwork) usual hopping rate for their 537 ipas (actual number may vary). Mostly grain though.

Taste imparts beers of yesteryears, but better, think like Raineer or Hamm's, those regional lagers that are pretty light, but here, with a bit more exotic angle to the kind of local ingredients and production. Its got that light cracker barley feel to it with just a little hit of lemongrass from the traditional hopping. The yeast is light, but more noticeable than in the macro version of style. Brisk, snappy finish, man this is a keeper especially if you like the outdoors. So what else is new? Cool Dinosaur Jr. song.
