L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, murky consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, off white, fairly long-lasting head. Fantastic lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of malt, hops, caramel, chocolate, and dark fruit.
T: Tasted of moderate amount of sweet malt, a heap of caramel and toffee, a tinge of chocolate, some hops (mostly in the finish), and light dark fruit (raisins, perhaps). An interesting and complex flavor. A bit more subtle flavor than you'll find with other barleywines, but tasty nonetheless. Oddly likable.
F: A solid amount of carbonation with a prickly finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O: While this isn't the perfect barleywine, it is quite likable. Definitely drinkable.

Bought a 12 oz bottle at the brewery last October. The Bottle was labeled Big Ugly Carriage House Series and BA Barnfind/10.2% was written on the side with a Sharpie. Had it last night. Pours a dense mahogany brown color into a pint glass. Just about no head, a light white covering of the glass that disappears fast. Almost no lacing. Some golden light comes through the side and bottom of the glass. Aroma and taste strongly reflect the Barrel Aged labeling!!! Strong boozy presence, like a Bourbon County beer. Not a whole lot of barleywine flavor, it could have been a stout or a barleywine, big malty and boozy presence. Still tasted good though. Mouthfeel is rich, boozy but surprisingly smooth. The booziness was in the flavor, but there was very little harshness or "burn". A fine slow sipper!!! I wouldn't mind having another one of these when the weather gets colder.

Poured a dark brown body with minimal head and an aroma that is boozy but has notes of dark fruits underneath the booze. A good, sturdy beer that is smooth and easy to drink with tastes like raisins, plums, and figs mixing with a boozy feel and a bit of heat on the finish.
