Outstanding beer!!! Picked up a bomber at the brewery. The top of the bottle was decorated with white wax that covered the cap and flowed down the sides ending in some long drips. Unusual looking. Pours a very dense black color with a small brown head that fades fast. No lacing on the glass. The aroma billows out as soon as you take off the cap. Rich bready malt and a vinuous aspect. Taste is more of the same. Very pronounced flavor, heavy malt presence - sweet but tempered by flavor from the barrel. The port wine/vinuous aspect is almost as strong as the maltiness. You can definitely taste the wine!!! Nicely blended, very tasty - this is a good beer. Mouthfeel is rich and fairly smooth. There is a little sting from the .abv and the wine but overall, it goes down easy for a strong beer. This one is a winner!!!!
