From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 01/25/24 11:49:35 JAND UP AND JELLY TIGHT"
Appearance: It is a black-bodied beer that is completely opaque. It has a medium sized fuzzy head that is tan in color. The head fizzles and pops but it manages to stay up for a few seconds before receding to a medium fluffy ring around the glass. No real lacing except for the slope up from the ring.
Aroma: It has a light bit of a chocolate aroma and a touch of what smells like raspberry. The aroma is very mellow.
Taste: Up front a huge burst of alcohol flavor hits the tongue. After that there is a bit of a nondescript fruity aspirin flavor. This transforms into an even more bitter aspirin flavor towards the back of the mouth. It's like a cross between Flinstones Vitamins and BC powder. It isn't pleasant.
Mouthfeel: It has this awkward medicinal bitterness which just makes the whole beer feel off. The body feels medium and the carbonation is good. Drinkability is low because of the strange feeling bitterness.
Overall: It tastes horrible but there are remnants of a halfway decent beer buried in the background somewhere. It's the kind of beer that you pour into a glass and you lift the can to throw it out only to realize that there's still half a can left. The label on the can states that this is a "PEANUT BUTTER PORTER WITH THE SAME NUTTY GOODNESS JAMMED UP AND BURSTING WITH GRAPE FRUITINESS." I don't know who wrote this but it tastes nothing like peanut butter and the only fruit in the beer tastes like it came from a medicine cabinet.
It is a very disappointing beer that I strongly recommend against and I won't buy again.
