This beer is described by the brewer as having wild yeast strains and it is identified as a Wild Ale by reviewers on Untapp'd. As far as I'm concerned, any evidence of sourness or funk is minimal at best, and it drinks like an American Brown Ale. Poured from a16 oz. can into a tulip, this beer features a medium density brown color with lots of reddish light coming through. The small, fizzy antique white/cream colored head is fast fading and there is only a minimal amount of filmy lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste are mostly malty with some vanilla and grassy hops bitterness. The flavor from the cherry bark is mild and I would not have noticed any funk or sourness unless I was expecting it, which I was!!! Mouthfeel was medium rich, malty and smooth the vanilla and touch of bitterness added some interest to this beer. Not bad, nothing special but not as advertised!!!
