This is a Cold IPA, probably the next IPA style on the horizon. They are brewed at lower temperatures and often use lager yeast. I didn't see any description or explanation on the can or from the brewery, but Stone Cold Rockers tastes like the description of Cold IPAs. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer featured a clear gold color and a bubbly white head with average to somewhat better than average retention and broken bands of lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavor are mild piney hops with a better than average level of bitterness. The mouthfeel was the interesting part. It was light and crisp like alager but with a good IPA level of bitterness. I enjoy a good, bitter iPA and this one stood up well to the spicy Thai meal that I had it with. A fine AIPA under the current style guidelines.
